LEHMAN COLLEGE AND COMMUNITY CHORUS PRESENTS SPRING CONCERT – May 5 @2:30 pm Performances of Works by Copland, Dvorak, Ellington, Gershwin, and More WHO: The Department of Music, Multimedia, Theatre & Dance, Lehman College and Community Chorus WHAT: Spring Concert WHERE: Lehman College, Concert Hall MORE: The Lehman College and Community Chorus presents its annual Spring Concert featuring masterworks for chorus and orchestra by renowned composers. This performance, which is free and open to the public, takes place Sunday, May 5, at 2:30 p.m. in Lehman Concert Hall. Led by Professor Diana Mittler-Battipaglia, the centerpiece of the program is Czech composer Antonin Dvorak’s “Mass in D Major.” Dvorak’s compositions and techniques will also be heard throughout the concert in works by composers including Aaron Copland, Duke Ellington, and George Gershwin, all of whom were greatly influenced by Dvorak. Highlights include: Members of the chorus and orchestra include Lehman students, alumni, faculty, staff, and residents from communities in the Bronx and the greater New York area.
