South Bronx Job Corps Academy (SBJCA) will be having an entry-level job fair Wednesday, February 26th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Corporations, non-profit and government agencies interested in supporting the underserved young adult community will have the opportunity to engage with our student's nearing completion of their respective trade programs by setting up outreach tables and discussing your available entry-level full-time positions.
Trade Industries Include:
- Construction & Maintenance
- Office Administration
- Healthcare (CNA, CMA & Phlebotomy)
- Homeland Security
- Culinary & Hospitality
- Information Technology (A+/AWS/Networking)
To learn more about our students' entry-level qualifications before registering, please email bgardner@grantassociatesinc.com with your questions or call 718-294-5895. Most of our students will have up to one to years or more of on center and off-center hands-on experience in their respective trade program. They most likely will not qualify for intermediate or senior level positions. You must have entry-level positions to attend this event.
Finalizing Work-based Learning Partnership:
In addition to meeting prospective employees, this will also be an opportunity to finalize our work-based learning partnership by bringing your completed and signed Work-based Learning Program Agreement. The South Bronx Job Corps Academy is not authorized to submit student resumes for internship, volunteer or job shadowing positions, until the completed and signed agreement has been returned to Beth Gardner.
Location: SBJCA Gymnasium, top of the hill at 1771 Andrews Ave, S. Bronx, NY 10453
Light homemade refreshments will be provided compliments of the Chef instructor Virgil Ballew and his culinary students.
Free Parking will be across the street, to the right of the South Bronx Job Corps Academy (SBJCA) building at
