In this role, the Clerk performs back-office transaction recordkeeping duties while receiving comprehensive training in front-line customer service responsibilities. These include check cashing, bill payments, money order, and service card sales, and assisting store management in reconciling actual and recorded cash balances.
Compensation
Starting Pay: $16.50 per hour
Promotion: Upon successful completion of a 90-day introductory period, Clerks are promoted to Cashier and may receive a night differential of:
+$3.00 per regular hour
+$4.50 per overtime hour
Shift Hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Scheduling Requirements
Must be available to work Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays on a rotating basis..
Must arrive 10–15 minutes before the shift starts and remain until the shift is complete
Minimum Qualifications
Accurately process a high volume of financial transactions including cash handling, check cashing, debit withdrawals, receipts, wire transfers, and bill payments.
Ability to learn to identify counterfeit currency and complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).
Maintain and balance a cash drawer; ensure transaction accuracy and reconcile records daily.
Strong attention to detail, mathematical aptitude, and ability to work efficiently with accuracy.
Excellent customer service and communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
Previous cashier or teller experience preferred.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work 8–10 hour shifts, depending on business needs.
