HVAC Service Technician

You & Us Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team serving the Bronx and surrounding NYC areas.

This position focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and capable of working independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including AC units, furnaces, boilers, and heat pumps

• Perform preventative maintenance and system tune-ups

• Install and replace components as needed

• Provide clear explanations to customers regarding issues and solutions

• Complete service documentation accurately

• Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle

• Follow safety standards and company procedures

Qualifications

• Experience servicing HVAC systems (residential required; commercial a plus)

• EPA Certification (required)

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Professional communication and customer service abilities

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Preferred Skills

• Experience with boilers, mini-splits, and heat pumps

• Familiarity with NYC building types and older systems

• Ability to recommend system improvements or replacements
