iMentor is an education non-profit and youth mentoring program working to empower first-generation college students to graduate high school, succeed in college or other post-secondary pathways, and achieve their ambitions through one-on-one mentorships. iMentor supports junior and senior high school students in the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn.
Mentoring Relationship to start Fall of 2024: (Hybrid Model)
• Mentors commit to writing mentee once per week (remote) and meeting once per month during the school year (in-person at the mentee’s school)
• You’re given guidance, training, and are surrounded by a mentor community that will support your mentorship and help you grow professional and personally.
• It’s only a 3 hour a month commitment during the student’s school year.
Mentor Requirements:
• 21 years of age or older
• Live in the greater tri-state area
• College degree is NOT a requirement any longer to be a mentor with iMentor
