About Us

The Bronx Zoo, operated by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), is the largest metropolitan zoo in the United States and a global leader in wildlife conservation. Located in the Bronx, it spans 265 acres of parklands and naturalistic habitats, housing over 6,000 animals from around the world.

The Zoo offers visitors unique opportunities to connect with wildlife through immersive exhibits, such as the Congo Gorilla Forest, Tiger Mountain, and the Butterfly Garden. It also hosts family-friendly programs, seasonal events, and educational initiatives designed to inspire a deeper appreciation for nature.
