CHCF Hosts Annual Bronx Summer Block Party to Celebrate Our Community and Families

The Committee for Hispanic Children & Families (CHCF) is excited to announce its Annual 2024 Summer Block Party on August 17 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Morris Avenue in the Bronx. This year, the event is co-sponsored with New York City Council Member Pierina Ana Sanchez, who will speak at the event. The block party will also include: 

• Local elected officials and leaders: Attendees will have a chance to mingle with and hear from New York City Council Member Pierina Ana Sanchez, as well as State Assembly Member Yudelka Tapia, and CHCF President & CEO Ramon Peguero, who was recently named to the Bronx Power 100 List by City & State. 

• Social Service Organizations: Various local organizations will be present to provide information about their services and how they support the community, including organizations like Catholic Charities Community Services and Anthem BlueCross BlueShield. 

• Bouncy Castle, face-painting, and a live DJ: The block party will be a fun, safe, and supervised environment for the whole family. 

• Free BBQ and other food: Delicious barbecue provided, popcorn, cotton candy, and other carnival-style treats. 

CHCF is committed to supporting families through quality childcare services and community engagement, and our Annual Block Party is just part of the countless ways we build strong, supportive communities where we can all thrive.
