In 2007, as a young behavior therapist I stared providing in-home early intervention, and fell in love with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). In 2010, I moved into the classroom for the NYCDOE, working in District 75, serving New York City’s children with the most need. I taught K-3, 6:1:1 for children with autism. In 2015, I obtained Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification and became a New York Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA). After 8 years of teaching, 4 years of supervision, and raising two of my own children, I left the NYCDOE to work full-time as a BCBA when I was asked to be the Clinical & Educational Director of an early intervention center in the Bronx. In September 2021, I returned to teaching amid a pandemic to start The Inspired Community Project.
